Prehabilitation to Avoid Rehabilitation!

Lots of my friends especially in the action sports genre often say "nah, i'd like to work out but i get all the workout i need on my bike or board" or whatever they do. that's fine but the one of the best benefits of training and getting in quality workouts is to AVOID INJURY! now if you screw up a line and tag a tree well your pretty much shit outta luck and your gonna get worked. But if you are constantly getting sprains and strains and overuse injuries then maybe taking a look at adding a comprehensive workout may be worth a while.
One of the best things you could do for your body if your a pro right down to weekend warrior recreational athlete is take care of your JOINTS! and not talking the green kind that that make all the pain go away and should be legalized but the ones that are responsible for moving that body!
These joints get dry, they get worked and time takes it's toll so its important to give them some love. A great approach is to work them through their intended range of motion as often as possible. This encourages joint nutrition, lubrication and gets them ready to move!
I could sit here and explain this till blue in the face but instead i'll pop in some visual enlightenment that is easy to follow. John Sifferman has a great video on his site and he is strong believer as i'm becoming in the work of the amazing, Scott Sonnen. Just began Scott's video series," Ageless Mobility" that is incredible! Here's John's video..http://johnsifferman.com/blog/joint-mobility-head-to-toe-in-5-minutes-or-less-with-john-sifferman/

Think about dynamic warmups as well which in my opinion, is a vital component of Pre-habilitation.

Ok, thats my spiel today...so think PRE-HAB BEFORE RE-HAB!

Vermont movie night wrap up

We had a great time at the VMBA movie night in Burlington VT over the weekend. They showed New World Disorder 9" which was another masterpiece by the Freeride Entertainment crew.
IdeRide and Mocean365 were sponsors of the event and rallied up to the show in the new IdeRide bus which was rad and had plenty of seating for the physically and mentally challenged(had to be there).
VMBA is doing great work and make mountain biking possible in many areas..without them we'd be screwed!
alright..the kid that won the longboard that we raffled off had the best "fro" ever!
check it out!

Happy Friday...ready for ACTION??

Been feeling lately a sense of desire to just SLAY it..you know, get some S&^T done. Been super busy doing just that. got some exciting new projects and the ones i'm most excited about have to do about gathering forces to make stuff happen. not super easy to do up in "these parts" of northern VT but it Must be done.
Looking forward for Mocean365, we will have a new very exciting announcement soon in regards to a new project in the Visual Division. This project has been a long time coming and will surely ably convey some our creative elements to the masses soon.
And our Movement Division is flying too...new classes, new groups meeting in Vermont and far away as Boston to push their bodies to the next level. And are currently in the prototype stage of making an exciting new "tool" to help your energy soar and health excel.
We are also stoked to announce the "Kingdom Collective" group up here. A group of like-minded folks in the world of the Northeast Kingdom VT who are trying to push their business, art, artisan etc project to the next level. This isn't some silly, ridiculous Facebook group either...WE ACTUALLY GET TOGETHER AND MEET! wow, novel idea isn't it but stay tuned for more on our progress.
And if you have a project you either have rolling or have always wanted to get going......ROCK THAT S%%T!!!!!!!
